Data, services and information on the state of the global climate system are vital for informing decision making on adaptation and mitigation.
Earth Information Day 2020 will provide an update on the state of the global climate in 2020, and its observation, and discuss recent advances in Earth observation technology and data processing to support decision making.
The themes and topics are guided by Parties’ submissions, and in consideration of the mandates and the wider context of ongoing work under the UNFCCC. The dialogue will address two themes:
- Updates on the state of the global climate system and its observation (including imprints of Covid-19)
- Recent advances in Earth observation technology and data processing to support decision making
Programme
The Earth information day 2020 will include:
- POSTER SESSION: All attendees can visit the poster session throughout the Climate Change Dialogues and afterwards (use Google Chrome browser for best user experience)
- 30 Nov, ACTIVE PARTICIPATION: Participants with an active role can join their sessions using the links sent to them by the UNFCCC online registration system
- PUBLIC BROADCASTS: All attendees (non-active participants) can view broadcasts and participate in the chat for:
