If you are a CLOC member working in the areas of climate change, ecosystems, and health in the Americas and interested in creating partnerships that will make you eligible for substantial funding opportunities opening in 2023, this event is for you!
This "meet and greet" side event will include a special opportunity for Conéctate A+ researchers to present themselves and their work and learn more about the IAI "Climate, Environment and Health for the Americas" transdisciplinary training initiative research projects. CLOC participants will have the chance to identify synergies and opportunities to partner with the IAI TD teams, ultimately opening up eligibility for substantial funding.
High-quality proposals prepared as part of the IAI TD Training Initiative will be eligible for seed grant funding and subsequent submission to larger grants such as the Belmont Forum CRA on Climate, Environment, and Health expected in 2023.
About Conéctate A+
Conéctate A+ is a "Cluster of Cooperation (CLOC)" and research collaboration hub in the Tropical Andes and Central America region, supported by and part of the swissuniversities Development and Cooperation Network (SUDAC) programme. Conéctate A+ has a broad membership that builds on the SUDAC's Consortia for Education and Research (COFER) and existing networks coordinated and led by the MRI, CONDESAN, and the University of Zürich, as well as combining existing and new partnerships in this region. The research activities promoted in Conéctate A+ are thematically focused on climate change, ecosystems, and health in view of sustainable development within the framework of the United Nations Agenda 2030.
About the IAI "Climate, Environment and Health for the Americas" transdisciplinary training initiative
This training initiative aims to enhance the capacity of professionals and institutions across the Americas to address challenges at the intersection of climate, environment, and health through a transdisciplinary approach. Participants will develop skills in communication and engagement with diverse stakeholders, with a focus on the science-policy interface and the genuine participation of communities. The overarching goal is to contribute to the development and implementation of more effective public policies that address the most critical national, regional and global public health priorities.
Conéctate A+ y la IAI Iniciativa Transdisciplinaria en Clima, Ambiente y Salud

Este encuentro virtual busca que ls miembros de la comunidad Conéctate A+ y los participantes de la «iniciativa transdisciplinaria de «Clima, ambiente y salud en las Américas» del IAI se conozcan, conecten sus experticias y lleguen a colaborar juntos.
Conéctate A+ es un «Clúster de Cooperación (CLOC)» y un «hub» de colaboración en investigación en los Andes Tropicales y Centro América, con apoyo de y parte de Development and Cooperation Network (SUDAC) conformado por universidades suizas. Conéctate A+ tiene una membresía amplia, basada en el Consorcio de Educación e Investigación (COFER) de SUDAC y las redes coordinadas por MRI, CONDESAN y la Universidad de Zürich, así como otras asociaciones en la región. Las actividades científicas que promueve Conéctate A+ se enfocan en cambio climático, ecosistemas y salud en el marco de desarrollo sostenible correspondiente a la Agenda 2030 de la ONU.
Las propuestas de alta calidad que se están preparando como parte de la iniciativa transdisciplinaria del IAI son elegibles para financiamiento semilla y posterior financiamiento de mayor escala como de mecanismos como Belmont Forum dentro de la convocatoria de Clima, Ambiente y Salud proyectada para 2023.
Este evento virtual es una oportunidad para aprender más sobre los proyectos que están en la etapa de nota conceptual y las competencias que los equipos transdisciplinarios necesitan para complementar su trabajo.
