Session 148 - Climate-glaciers interactions in mid-latitude mountains: Climate change effects on mid latitude glaciers and surrounding environments.
This session will review recent climatic trends of different mid latitude glaciers around the world, to evaluate the utility and fidelity of glaciological indicators of climate change at different elevations, to evaluate the impact of climate change to mid latitude glaciers and to evaluate the Earth surface processes on biotic and abiotic resources.
For this session we are looking for original abstracts proposed by researchers working on glaciology, hydrology and climate in high mountainous environments. It includes, but is not limited to, local to global-scale modeling of glaciers, observing and monitoring glaciers with different methods, tracking hydrological changes in the pro-glacial system, and observing the biotic and abiotic changes on the glaciers surface.
