About

CIRM and the Cantonal Office of Archaeology of Valais (OCA) are organizing an interdisciplinary half-day workshop focused on glacial archaeology. This event aims to gather professionals working in the glacial field in the Valais region and individuals who frequently visit glaciers. The objectives of this workshop are:

  • Sharing issues and results from the OCA
  • Raising awareness among regular glacier visitors about best practices in participatory archaeology
  • Encouraging interdisciplinary exchanges and collaborations.

CIRM and OCA are confident that participants’ knowledge and expertise will significantly contribute to the discussions and foster new perspectives for preserving glacial archaeological heritage.
