With the upcoming UNFCCC COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, this event presents a timely opportunity to highlight and discuss environmental changes and address the policy needs and gaps of the six countries of the Caucasus Ecoregion, with the goal of enhancing preparedness and mitigating the impacts of climate change. 

The report, based on the latest data from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Islamic Republic of Iran, the Russian Federation, and Türkiye, covers environmental drivers such as population growth, urbanization, economic development, and climate change. It also assesses key environmental topics such as air quality, freshwater, biodiversity and land use, providing policy recommendations for policy stakeholders and practitioners.
