The Swiss Foundation for Alpine Research (SSAF) invites young researchers to apply for the ProMontesPrize (PMP) which recognises outstanding achievements towards the goal of safeguarding the future of the Alpine landscape. Deadline to apply is 31 March, 2020.

31 March 2020

Due to COVID-19, the JuLaFo conference scheduled for 15 June 2020 where the ProMontes Prize award ceremony was meant to take place has been canceled. As a result, the ProMontes Prize has been postponed.

The works submitted until March 31 will be considered for the award ceremony next year or the year after. The contributions can also be submitted for the award ceremony of the ProMontes Prize 2020.

It is not yet known when the Young Landscape Research conference will take place and the ProMontes Prize will be awarded - please visit the organiser's official website for updated information.

Applicants’ work may be in German, French, or English, must pertain to Switzerland, and must have been completed between April 2018 and March 2020. Applicants may not be over 35 years of age (special exceptions are considered) and are required to attend the JuLaFo conference on 15 June where they will present their work.

The prize consists of a 3’000 Swiss franc reward as well as financial support of up to CHF20’000 towards a follow-up project.
