Researchers and young scientists interested in contributing to the Carpathian region are invited to join the Science for the Carpathians network. An open call is now active, and interested individuals are encouraged to participate in the survey by 1 February 2024, available here.

Explore the current Research Agenda 2030 at Carpathian Science. As active members, researchers can shape the participatory and evolving S4C Research Agenda 2030, propose Policy Recommendations for the Carpathian Convention, and contribute to the organization of the next Forum Carpaticum Conference. The network aims to strengthen the participation of scientists from Carpathian countries in regional and international science-policy forums, foster science-policy collaborations across the Carpathian region, and build connections with scientific networks in other mountain regions.

Experts from diverse disciplinary backgrounds are encouraged to join and enhance the inter- and transdisciplinary work addressing crucial issues such as Climate Change, Pollution, Loss of Biodiversity, Carpathian Identities, and the needs of vulnerable groups in the Carpathian region. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful and collaborative research.
