Pre-register your interest in participating in GlaMBIE if you have regional glacier mass-balance estimates from the glaciological method, DEM differencing, altimetry, gravimetry, or from a combined approach for one or several of the 19 first order glacier regions*.
GlaMBIE Project Objectives
- Define a set of criteria to standardise the assessment and its uncertainty
- Collect and analyse regional assessments from the community across the range of available methods
- Produce and publish a consensus estimate at regional and global levels
- Work will lead to a set of recommendations for standardised future assessments
Within GlaMBIE, we aim for a reconciled assessment of regional and global glacier mass changes towards the next IPCC report.
