Join the Adaptation at Altitude (A@A) Knowledge Network ‘base camp’ event that will bring together participants to exchange and learn about climate change adaptation in mountains. 

Mountains feature some of the clearest indications of climate change. Rising temperatures, melting glaciers and changing precipitation patterns are disrupting water flows and affecting ecosystems, creating and worsening natural hazards, and threatening livelihoods and communities both within mountains and downstream.  

Each mountain region is unique, but the communities that reside in them also experience shared challenges opportunities. Sharing solutions/projects, best practices, and lessons learned can inspire and accelerate action and collaboration in mountain communities worldwide. As the phrase ‘base camp’ connotes, the A@A Knowledge Network event will provide an informal space to bring people together across the globe, share and exchange knowledge, and help us prepare for our own adaptation journeys – whether that be devising projects, implementing actions, or strengthening partnerships.

Agenda

This Adaptation at Altitude Knowledge Network event will focus on engaging and showcasing the work of members. During the 1-hour meeting, there will be time for three presentations from A@A Knowledge Network members, followed by a Q&A, and an open discussion with participants.
