The Institute of Mountain Hazards and Environment at the Chinese Academy of Sciences is hosting an International Mountain Forum under the theme “Reducing environmental risks in mountainous areas, ensuring green development in mountainous regions” from 11 to 15 November 2024 in Chengdu, China.

The following topics will be discussed:

• Mountain hazards and risk management
• Observation modeling for mountain ecosystems in a changing world
• Digital futures
• National science-policy dialogue

This event is co-organized with the Chinese Committee on the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD) and other partners, within the framework of the Mountain Partnership, with support from the Integrated Research on Disaster Risk.
