In recent years, there has been a growing interest in studying the local dynamics of the atmosphere and precipitation patterns in the Andes. Despite this, there are still knowledge gaps that need to be addressed, and measurements to help fill these gaps are limited. To address this issue, the first precipitation micro-radar was installed in the Cordillera Blanca, Peru in 2017. This radar represents an exciting opportunity to advance our understanding of the Andean climate and its impacts. La dinámica local de la atmósfera y los patrones de precipitación en los Andes son un área temática de creciente estudio. Sin embargo, mediciones que ayudan a cerrar vacíos de conocimiento son aún limitados. Por ese motivo, desde el 2017 se instaló en la Cordillera Blanca, Perú el primer micro-radar de precipitación.
