Austria, Obergurgl

The Regional Mountain Conference (#RMC) will connect scientists, experts, and society, while focusing on specific mountain regions and their unique challenges.

Home to over 14 million people and strongly affected by climate change, the European Alps are both a living laboratory and a hub for cutting-edge mountain research. Therefore, the #RMC26 will take place in Obergurgl: Obergurgl is located close to the boarder to underline the collaboration among Alpine Nations and Institutions. The inspiring Alpine landscapes will support exchange and development of new ideas.

Join us in Obergurgl in 2026 to connect, exchange, and contribute to the positive development of our Alpine region.
