The annual Prix de Quervain is funded by the Swiss Committee on Polar and High Altitude Research SKPH and the Commission for the Research Station on Jungfrauchjoch SKJF.  The application deadline has been extended to 31 May 2020.

This award is aimed at young researchers who have completed their Master's or diploma thesis, dissertation, or other research work (e.g. post-doc) in Switzerland between April 2018 and April 2020. The prize money is CH 5'000.- and, depending on the the quality of the submitted work, can be awarded entirely to one applicant or distributed amongst several, and is intended to promote the academic career of the award winners. 

Institutes and organisations active in polar regions and all lecturers who supervise dissertations, master's or diploma theses, or other research projects on topics concerning these regions are invited to propose to the committee young researchers who completed their work in Switzerland between April 2018 and April 2020. Bachelor theses cannot be considered.
